Principal Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Train all book department volunteers
- Assist with volunteer retention
- Assist with recruiting volunteers by communicating with Habitat Charlotte Volunteer Services team
- Manage inventory
- Plan, execute and promote all book-related events
- Assist with marketing strategies and all store promotions
- Develop a donor relationship plan that involves monthly contact and follow up with prospective donors
- To build awareness and a donor base, seek out and make presentations to organizations
- Recruit, support, plan, and execute all neighborhood book drives
- Schedule and maintain accurate records for book recycling and payments
- Maintain accurate records of donations and donors
- Create and implement a system for communicating with donors during and after donations
Other Duties:
- Habitat Charlotte Region-related tasks as requested by Supervisor.
Qualifications
Education/Skills:
- Customer Service and Marketing experience
- Manager/supervisor experience required
- Basic computer and internet knowledge
- Valid Drivers license
- Car required with local travel within metro area
- Ability to project manage multiple projects simultaneously
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to push or pull 1,000 pounds with a pallet jack
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification
- Ability to drive a 16-foot box truck
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical

Estimated Time Commitment:
- This is a forty-hour per week full-time position, rotating Monday through Saturday
