Qualifications & Experience

• Certified Automotive Mechanic with two years of hands-on experience.
• Holds an AQF Certificate III or IV in Automotive Technology.
• Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance of light vehicles.
• Strong commitment to contributing to team success and promoting a positive team culture.

Licence/Certification:

• Driver Licence (Required)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Detect and diagnose faults in engines and components.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other parts for inspection.
• Repair or replace worn and defective components, reassembling mechanical systems while referring to service manuals as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Reassemble engines and components following repairs.
• Test and adjust mechanical parts post-repair to verify proper functionality.
• Utilise computer diagnostics to identify and test components.
• Inspect vehicles and, when applicable, issue roadworthiness certificates or outline necessary repairs to achieve compliance.
