Job Title:** Registered Nurse**Job Specialty:** Telemetry**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** 12-hour nights, every other weekend, holidays required, never alone**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week (Note: Guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation)**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience, Cardiac Monitoring experience**License:** Active MD or compact state RN license**Certifications:** Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS**Must-Have:** Cardiac Monitoring experience, Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS**Job Description:**- Perform cardiac monitoring and administer anti-arrhythmia infusions.- Care for patients post open-heart surgery, thoracotomy, and AMI/STEMI.- Utilize computerized charting and medication scanning technology.- Work in a 30-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6.- Possible floating to medical-surgical area if needed.- Participate in unit-specific training and orientation, including a cardiac monitoring and drug competency test.- Wear navy blue scrubs as a part of the dress code.- Orientation program includes two shifts on floor orientation, every other week RN orientation.
