Job Summary
This position contributes to the success of Defence Bakery Private Limited by
- Leading the outlet operations and the bakery and kitchen staff team to create and maintain a premium customer experience for our patrons.
- Achieving sales targets and increasing profitability by addressing customer service needs, managing staff, ensuring safety and security, and overseeing daily operational excellence.
- Acting in alignment with Defence Bakery’s guiding principles to foster a positive workplace culture and maintain the brand’s reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily outlet operations, ensuring smooth workflows, staff productivity, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional customer service by training and motivating the team, addressing feedback, and fostering a customer-first culture.
- Inventory and Stock Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, collaborate with suppliers and vendors, and oversee inventory control to ensure product availability.
- Financial Management: Achieve financial goals by managing budgets, controlling expenses, analyzing variance, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Make timely, informed decisions to address operational challenges and improve outlet performance.
- Market Awareness: Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to stay competitive and innovative.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to legal, operational, and company policies while maintaining health and safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage staff performance, ensuring goal alignment and a collaborative work environment.
Qualification & Skills
- Any Graduate (preferred IHM student or hotel management graduate)
- Must have 5 years + experience in Food Retail or FMCG Retail Stores within 2years+ into leading role.
- Skilled in delivering exceptional customer experiences and resolving issues promptly.
- Proficient in meeting sales targets and driving profitability through strategic initiatives.
- Experienced in managing inventory levels, stock replenishment, and minimizing shrinkage.
- Capable of managing budgets, analyzing sales data, and controlling operational expenses.
- Strong analytical skills to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to engage with customers, staff, and stakeholders clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensures adherence to legal requirements, health, and safety regulations, and company policies.

This role is based in Gurugram Sec 15 Part 2, where as Outlet Manager is accountable for enhancing and growing store performance to align with Defence Bakery’s mission and objectives.
