Alcott Global is retained by a global consumer goods company to search for the Head of Manufacturing Excellence to be based in Ireland. The role provides strategic leadership for manufacturing performance across all sites.

This role drives operational efficiency, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and ensures alignment with business objectives. The Head of Manufacturing Excellence is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance manufacturing processes, product quality, and sustainable development, while overseeing teams across multiple locations. They work closely with cross-functional teams to support the execution of the company’s strategic business agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Manufacturing Leadership: Develop and execute strategic manufacturing plans that align with company objectives, enhancing efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead efforts in operational excellence across all internal sites, focusing on production, sourcing, and delivery to meet customer requirements while balancing risks.
  • Culture of Excellence: Foster a culture of operational excellence, focusing on quality, safety, and continuous process improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, supply chain, and other stakeholders to enhance organizational capabilities and drive innovation.
  • Leadership Development: Identify and support future leaders, ensuring development plans that align with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Sustainability and Compliance: Drive environmental sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Business Growth Support: Lead strategic planning for capital investments and asset management to support business growth.
  • Productivity and Risk Management: Lead productivity efforts and implement risk management strategies to support operational and business continuity.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree in Management is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management, with multi-site responsibilities and a focus on driving performance improvement.
  • Familiarity with the highly regulated process manufacturing industries.
  • Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, and operational excellence.
  • Proven expertise in sustainability initiatives, safety compliance, and continuous improvement practices.
