About This Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our growing Product team. In this role, you’ll lead the design process for new UI/UX work across various mobile and web platforms for B2C users. We seek to create ecommerce experiences that balance UI/UX best practice with conversion rate optimization — you will test, prototype, build and iterate on designs used by over 100 million users per year. Reporting into our CPO, Ilenia, you’ll be the sole Designer on the team and should be comfortable with fast-paced, high-impact, iterative design work.

What You’ll Do

  • Product Design: you’ll work closely with a Product Manager and teams of Engineers to define user needs, develop wireframes/mockups/interactive prototypes, and deliver final designs to production. We operate marketplace businesses with both B2C and B2B customers — your job will be to find the right balance of designs that satisfy both stakeholders, optimizing the B2C user’s user/buying experience while delivering results for our B2B customers.
  • Marketing/Brand Design: you’ll support with the occasional brief from our Marketing team, helping during busy periods to create banners and other promotional materials for the brands we promote on our sites.
  • Design System: you’ll help to build and maintain our design system, to ensure consistency and scalability across our various web and mobile products.

About You

  • Proven Designer: you have a track record of working independently to design modern UX/UI for B2C users/customers. You have experience designing for both Web and Mobile Apps.
  • Ecommerce: you have experience designing for ecommerce sites or products that prioritize conversion rates and user funnels.
  • Ownership Mentality: You don’t wait to be told what to do. You see what needs to be done and take accountability, even for tasks that aren’t officially “yours.”
  • Startup Environment: You enjoy the challenge of working in a dynamic environment where things move fast and processes evolve quickly. You are okay with some things being very structured, and others being a little loose.
  • You are fluent in English and comfortable communicating primarily in English with team members around the world.

  • Case Study: we’ll give you a real-world case study (compensated) to see how you think and approach a design problem. Afterward, we’ll have a working session to simulate what collaboration feels like at ICG.
