Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the overall HR functions of the organisation, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Your role at HFM:
- Analyse workforce trends to anticipate future HR needs.
- Assist the end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Develop job descriptions, assess staffing needs, and ensure a smooth hiring process.
- Build relationships with local talent pools and recruitment agencies.
- Serve as the point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by organising team-building and engagement activities.
- Handle conflict resolution and provide guidance on workplace issues.
- Ensure adherence to Mauritius labour laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Handle employee records and maintain confidentiality.
- Oversee performance review cycles and assist managers in evaluating employee performance.
- Identify training needs and organise development programs.
- Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
- Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation plans.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive salary structures.
- Prepare and analyse HR reports to track metrics such as turnover, recruitment, and engagement.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation and ensure HR systems and tools are effectively utilised.
Requirements
What You Bring:
- BA/BSc in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of Mauritius labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
