Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:15am – 5:00pm 3, 10 hour days
Locations: Amherst
Responsibilities include
- Coordinates and participates in a variety of patient care activities in the examination of patients to include: vital signs, mini-mental assessments, assisting with diagnostic procedures, records data for medical record.
- Coordinates scheduling with medical secretary and assists with modifying provider schedule when necessary to conform to changing priorities and unanticipated events, including changes in staffing schedule and other activities.
- Responds appropriately to patient inquiries, providing accurate and detailed information.
- Responds appropriately to referring physician’s office inquiries
- Answers all calls pertinent to assigned area, directing clinical calls to appropriate clinical personnel
- Works with patient and other office personnel to coordinate care
- Data entry into EMR pertaining to the patient’s office visit; entering any prescriptions, diagnostic testing and outside procedures.
- Schedules follow up appointments for office visits and diagnostic testing that is to be done internally as well as externally
- Serves as a liaison to patient and other internal and external contacts
- Makes follow-up phone calls to patients as self, manager or provider directs
- Clerical duties in a time efficient manner as set forth by the office manager
- Escort and/or transport patients to treatment room and other clinic locations.
- Refers patients to proper clinical resources for health care questions and to proper personnel for Dent policies such as billing and or financial support
- Interacts calmly, respectfully and in a friendly manner with physicians and all other health care professionals in assurance of accurate medical record content for physicians’ review
- Reports errors or problems so that appropriate action may be taken for patient care
- Participate in development and implementation of general policies and procedures to provide for the physical and emotional comfort and safety of patients.
- Complies with quality assurance, HIPAA, customer focus, infection control, safety and other policies as set forth.
- Organization of work area and clinic, keeping the provider on schedule. Prioritization of tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Compensation
- Most candidates will start within the first quartile of the pay range
- Rates are commensurate with experience
