Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level MIG Welder to join our HVAC production team. The successful candidate will have experience operating MIG welding equipment to join metal components used in the production of HVAC systems. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to the production of high-quality HVAC products.
Pay will be based on results of weld test between $18 and $21/hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment according to specifications and safety protocols.
- Weld metal parts and components for HVAC systems, ensuring proper alignment and joint fit-up.
- Inspect welded parts for defects, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
- Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine welding requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine maintenance and care of welding tools and equipment.
- Assist in other production tasks as needed, including assembly and quality control.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Basic knowledge or experience with MIG welding (welder training or certification is a plus but not required).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good physical stamina, with the ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and handle welding equipment.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and PPE use in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a factory setting, with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and heat.
- Must be able to wear appropriate safety equipment (e.g., welding helmet, gloves, protective clothing).
