Description: At Bama, the Logistics Supervisor is expected to understand, engage, and lead their Warehouse team through a One Bama lens, while controlling direct costs, meeting customer expectations, and ensuring a safe work environment. This role will focus on delivering customer intimacy and team member satisfaction while minimizing cost. Data and measurement will be used in the areas that need attention, such as inventory management, appointment scheduling, process cost, and departmental key metrics. The Logistic Supervisor will partner with operations, sales, quality, sanitation, maintenance, and plant management to help provide assured supply to internal and external customers. The Logistic Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring materials are received, stored, distributed, rotated, and inventoried properly while always maintaining an audit ready warehouse.
Role Description And Job Accountabilities
- Receipt, storage, and retrieval of all production related ingredients and supplies
- Delivery of production related ingredients and supplies to the production lines
- Storage (both on and off site as needed) of Finished Goods
- Responsible for the Management of Inventory (both finished and raw material).
- Responsible for ensuring inventory remains in FIFO, and any product in Hold status is maintained.
- Shipment of customer orders to ensure on time and accurate order fulfillment
- Managing Warehouse Staff, assuring team member knows and performs job tasks in accordance with the needs of the system and established policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment both in terms of human safety and food safety.
- Prepare and manage logistics plant budget and capital.
- Responsible for managing financial components of warehouse, including overtime management.
Qualifications
- Business degree or minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Logistics / Warehousing
- Highly technical computer skills and financial understanding of budget and measurements
- Possess and demonstrate passion for the job, the role, and the company

- Available to travel to customer locations when necessary
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
- Provide leadership in strategic planning and prioritization

- Knowledge and expertise in Six Sigma processes and tools
- Fundamental understanding of transportation, supply chain and logistics
- High level of proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office software applications
- Must keep well trained on the latest requirements of Logistics for Department of Transportation compliance and OSHA
