Responsibilities / Position Overview
The Lumanity US Strategy Consulting team is seeking a detail-oriented Associate Project Manager (APM) to join our dynamic business operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in a project management career in a teamwork-focused and fast-paced environment. The project management team collaborates with consultant project teams to provide operations support for on-time delivery of client projects within the contracted scope and budget by driving the project lifecycle from implementation to completion. APMs work in close collaboration with consultant leads, finance, and business operations team members for the duration of each client project in their portfolio. An individual portfolio is typically comprised of 20-30 client projects at any point in time, depending on project complexities and timelines. The APM does not support the delivery of services to clients.
Duties and responsibilities for each client project may include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate status, successes, and areas of concern to consultant project team lead and other internal stakeholders
- Identify, track, and report potential areas of risk; recommend contingency plans and support risk mitigation strategies
- Track, manage, and update estimated hours in the context of hours used and total hours projected; reviewing and approving/rejecting project team timecards
- Track, manage, and update pass-through expenses and expense reports, as appropriate
- Track, manage, and update client invoicing process
- Reconcile NetSuite (business management software) and Kantata project data as necessary (weekly, monthly, annually)
- Liaise with Finance for Sales Order development
- Liaise with internal collaborators to co-create, co-manage, co-update Kantata project workspaces for collaborative projects
- Attend internal project kickoff meeting
- Manage change order processes in NetSuite and Kantata
- Comply with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives, especially those involving project management
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communications, or other relevant field combined with a strong interest in a project management career
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, responsible, tenacious, independent, and self-confident
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Legal authorization to be employed in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities
