Job Description
The Customer Service Entry Specialist ensures accuracy of order information, inputs orders into the system, tracks order statuses, and communicates any changes, delays, or issues to customers. Liaises with other departments, such as Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, and Warehouse to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
The impact you’ll have:?
- Verify and audit Purchase Orders from customers
- Assist sales reps and customers on all aspects of support for order placement
- Enter print, digital, and on-line service orders
- Work with team members to enter large, complex, multiple location orders
- Work in conjunction with the Sales Operations, Fulfillment Operations, and Accounting teams to collect information and complete processing of customer orders
- Identify issues and collaborate with multiple groups to bring issues to resolution
- Raise awareness to management of trends noticed, to drive process and policy improvement, or to resolve technical issues if necessary. Contribute your expertise and experience to these opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Active listening skills
- Provide order entry assistance to additional CA teams as needed
- Manage special one-off orders/projects as needed
Who we’re looking for:
- You are a clear and efficient communicator, handling all correspondence with professionalism and grace through email and phone.
- You are adept at communicating and coordinating with colleagues in departments outside of Customer Service and the Warehouse, including Deal Operations and Sales.
- You are an expert organizer, with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- You are able to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience providing high-quality customer service, including the processing of orders.
- Experience with customer service best practices and processes.
- Strong sense of urgency in answering customer inquiries, complaints and other requests
- PC proficient, Microsoft Office skills required
- Experience with standard warehouse and shipping best practices and processes.
- Experience with Rootstock, SalesForce, and Softeon or other similar business systems used for order management are required to fully meet the responsibilities of the role
- Experience in basic proficiency and knowledge of Excl is needed, growth towards intermediate proficiency is encouraged.
Travel: Less than twice per month to company offices. Employees local to the company’s Massachusetts-based offices may travel to attend in-person meetings. Employees not local may attend for potential annual team meetings.

Pay Range: This role’s range is $37,875 – 59,375. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
