Job Description
The anticipated base pay range for this position is between 75k and 85k annually. Individual base pay may vary within that range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, department equity, training, geography, and local wage and hours laws.
Responsibilities
- Work with Director, Lifecycle Marketing to implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to support each market’s core print and digital products across acquisition, engagement, and retention efforts.
- Daily execution of marketing campaigns & journeys including set up, upkeep and ongoing optimization of email marketing (copywriting, coding and designing); creating/segmenting lists; scheduling, setting up A/B tests, QA, and reporting.
- Devise and execute A/B tests, create and manage testing/optimization roadmaps, record results, and advise on improvements.
- Implement defined business requirements for marketing automation campaigns/journeys.
- Collaborate with other areas of marketing, consumer revenue, creative, news and technology teams to ensure best practices are followed across the user lifecycle.
- Work with audience segmentation and review communications calendar to ensure audiences are not messaged above the limits set by the Centralized Marketing Team.
- Maintain the performance and health of marketing channels with regard to audience segmentation, personalization, list hygiene, and deliverability.
- Monitor industry best practices. Integrate best practices to ensure optimal email results, improved deliverability, and compliance around permission-based marketing, privacy, and spam regulation (CAN/SPAM/CCPA).
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Must have working knowledge (1+ years) and experience with Braze and liquid logic. Braze-certified preferred.
- Understanding of CRM best practices, behavioral triggers, consumer attributes and how they influence decision paths within the customer journey
- Understanding of event-based data models (APIs, webhooks) and how it relates to marketing automation.
- Experience designing and implementing A/B and multivariate tests.
- Experience copywriting, designing, and creating email templates in Braze.
- Sufficient knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from data warehouses and CDPs.
- Excellent project management skills along with excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team player; proven ability to apply innovative ideas and critical thinking to projects and the organization’s opportunities, and able to work with various teams: creative, IT, analytics, etc.
- Able to anticipate needs, innovate and flourish in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Proficient with G-Suite.
Education And Experience
- BA or BS Degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 1-3 years in a similar CRM / marketing role, including experience with email and lifecycle marketing;
- Deep understanding of major marketing channels including social (Facebook, Instagram), messaging platforms, analytics tools (Tableau or Amplitude preferred) and lifecycle marketing.
