Job Summary

The Fleet Supervisor oversees transportation, bottled water programs and assists in overseeing fuels and vehicle maintenance when the managers are off site or need assistance. Responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies and government regulations of the Fleet sub-departments. Works under limited supervision, responsible for leading the assigned work. Promotes teamwork and actively participates in the quality improvement process. Train and supervise staff as required. Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise Fleet requirements with other departments.
  • Supervise transportation services and vehicle dispatching operations.
  • Supervise bottled water receipt, storage, and delivery.
  • Supervise fuel ordering, receiving, issuing, and tracking.
  • Assist with retrieving invoices from suppliers.
  • Assists Fleet and Vehicle Maintenance Managers in achieving the fleet department goals.
  • Reviews and updates Fleet reports and oversee tool room management.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the manager or supervisor as appropriate.

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Have a required minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance operation.
  • Be familiar with automotive and vehicle parts terminology.
  • Be computer literate with experience using MS Office and fleet management systems.
  • A knowledge of vehicle database systems and calculations is required.
  • AFCAP/LOGCAP experience is preferred.
  • Have strong analytical and computer skills and be willing to work flexible hours.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to supervise and coordinate assignments.
  • Have the ability to effectively work in a team environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid HOR driving license is required.

Physical Requirements And Work Conditions

  • Physical requirements may include lifting to 35 lbs., team lifting 50 lbs., climbing, extended sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, or bending.
  • Individuals must be able to sit and concentrate for extended periods.
