Job Description

As part of a team of Contract Specialists, you will work through the phases of preparation and negotiation of contracts until signature of contracts within the newly established Contract Center. The Contract Specialists ensure that contracts are created and concluded consistently and efficiently. In the future, the Contract Center will provide contracts on demand in an end-to-end-process in direct relationship with Bayer-internal clients with a special focus on Procurement, General Commercial, R&D and business relationships with Healthcare Professionals.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and negotiation of contracts via the Contract Center-Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLMS) user interface based on requests and content contribution of Bayer-internal clients (especially Procurement, General Commercial, R&D and relationships with Healthcare Professionals)
  • Independent application of the Contract Center playbooks for processing contract requests, contract revisions, contract implementations as well as ensuring compliance with legal and Bayer internal regulations
  • Independent handling of contract revisions based on requests by contract partners or internal clients with the help of the Contract Center playbooks
  • Responsible for possible escalations of problematic contractual matters to Team Lead
  • Overseeing legal content in playbooks and keeping it up to date as well as proactive refinement and improvement of Contract Center playbooks by means of documentation of required modifications and necessary efficiency measures, that are being detected while using the playbooks

Who You Are

  • University degree in legal area, e.g. as commercial lawyer (m/f/d)
  • Must be a bar passer with 1 year of legal working experience/practice, in a corporate environment
  • Experience in dealing with contracts
  • Experience in roles which require broad client interaction and coordination
  • Skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Good knowledge of document management systems
  • Time management and planning skills which are required for the coordination and prioritization for dealing with numerous contracts at the same time
  • Ability to take the initiative, solve problems pragmatically as well as to adhere to time limits
  • Excellent organizational skills and proven interpersonal skills in combination with strong oral and written communication abilities
