The Job

We’re looking to bring on a Chief Operating Officer to help Importal navigate its next stage of growth. Core categories of responsibilities for this role will be to serve as point for:

  • People Operations: Hiring, HR, culture building, and offsite planning
  • Administrative Operations: Legal and insurance management
  • Financial Operations: Bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and expense management
  • Systems & IT Operations: Standard operating procedures in Notion, HubSpot, and other systems
  • Team Support: Meeting facilitation, agenda coordination, and calendar management
  • You should have:

    • 3+ years of experience at an e-commerce brand, technology company, consulting firm, law firm, or venture capital firm
    • Highly curious and engaged in understanding everything being built
    • Strong bias for action and moving quickly, with a sense of ownership and accountability for assigned work
    • Company first mindset, always considering what benefits the team and contributing towards that goal
    • Deep customer empathy, using this perspective to guide decisions throughout the build process
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to transparency and accountability
    • Consistently meets deadlines
  • Working Conditions

    This is a remote position; candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace. Occasional travel may be required for training, client meetings and team outings.

    Working Hours

    Our team operates across various U.S. time zones, which sometimes results in meetings being scheduled outside of traditional 9-to-5 hours. However, we trust our team members to manage their schedules effectively and to prioritize their well being.
