Description:

The Logistics Assistant is responsible for helping the Logistics Coordinators in receiving and distributing airline associated rotable stock, ensuring efficient receiving processes, and able to promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.

In this role you will need to have great attention to detail to accurately manage Airline stock and linen and be in good physical condition to lift and move items.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Make up Airline linen ship sets ready for the relevant flights.
  • Change and sort Airline pillows/cases ready for the relevant flights.
  • Assist in the prompt loading and unloading of bulk products to the warehouse or on to trucks / vehicles.
  • Assist in storing, packing and retrieval of goods and materials in accordance with procedures and/or regulations.
  • Allocating and retrieving goods from specific warehouse areas.
  • Ensure appropriate housekeeping of the work area and a safe work environment.
  • Assist in warehouse stocktake counting.
  • Collaborates and communicates with service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Ability to utilise equipment in the assistance of loading and unloading

The ideal candidate:

  • A valid Australian driver’s licence
  • A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) – or the ability to obtain one
  • A valid authority to Drive Airside Card (ADA) – or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience within the Aviation and/or Logistics/Transport Industry.
  • Competent in the operational requirements of Cabin Cleaning
  • Understanding of the operational requirements of Ground Handling
  • Physically fit and able to perform lifting and bending
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Working in a high-pressure environment and to strict timelines
  • Customer focus to deliver exceptional service
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations
  • Strong ability to multi-tasks, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Health and Safety Training
  • Manual Handling procedures
  • Capable of Incident Report writing, in plain and clear English

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and data entry
