Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement specialized instructional strategies customized to address the distinct learning needs of each student.
  • Develop, execute, and uphold Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate student progress through systematic data collection and assessments, making instructional adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices and support the needs of all students.
  • Maintain continuous communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and areas targeted for improvement.
  • Engage in virtual team discussions, working alongside colleagues to ensure effective educational strategies are employed.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development to refine teaching skills and remain updated on contemporary best practices in education.
  • Utilize educational technology and remote learning platforms efficiently to engage students in a virtual educational setting.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • A valid teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in a classroom, particularly with a focus on special education.
  • Experience in developing and executing IEPs, ensuring adherence to educational standards.
  • Experience in virtual instruction is preferred but not essential.
