The Laundry/Dry Clean Attendant is responsible for providing high-quality laundry and dry-cleaning services to ensure the proper care and maintenance of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest items.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial washing machines, dryers, and dry-cleaning equipment.
- Sort, separate, and process linens, uniforms, and guest laundry items according to care labels and material requirements.
- Handle pressing, dry cleaning, and folding of garments and linens with precision.
- Properly use and handle laundry chemicals, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain hygiene and follow health practices in all laundry operations.
- Inspect all processed items for cleanliness, stains, and damage, ensuring high-quality service.
- Ensure timely delivery of clean linens and uniforms to designated areas.
- Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to manage linen inventory and stock levels efficiently.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laundry equipment to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hotels or reputed laundry companies.
- In-depth knowledge of chemicals and their safe usage in laundry processes.
- Expertise in pressing, dry cleaning, and handling industrial washing machines.
- Proficiency in folding linens and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
