Job Description
You’ll be…
- Managing all aspects of the general ledger
- Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
- Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting departments
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Preparing and consolidating financial statements
- Establishing and maintaining internal controls
- Providing monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses
- Assisting with the budget process
- Analyzing and reporting cost variances
- Collaborating with the IT department to maintain financial records and system processes
- Participate in preparation for the annual audit
- Serving as a liaison to external auditors
- Preparing state / sales tax returns
What you’ll need…
- To be successful as an Assistant Controller with Trew, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). An outstanding Assistant Controller should have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Active CPA license
- 7-10 years of accounting experience
- Supervisory experience
- NetSuite experience is a plus
Work Environment
This is primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Ability to traverse office, manufacturing facility and customer sites.
