About the role

The main purpose of this role is:

• To support the senior logistics Officer by ensuring the prompt delivery and management of import / export cargo movements at K92 Mine site.
• To minimize the impact of the Section on the environment and ensure the workplace health & safety of employees, Contractors and other stakeholders are maintained.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position are to:

• Ensure the prompt delivery of all import / export and warehouse freight to the warehouse facility, laydown yard or as directed by end users.
• Undertake weekly and daily priorities within the team, regularly report on progress, activity and outcomes
• Ensure that all aspects of logistics are undertaken in accordance with established policy and procedures. Ensuring that safety is paramount to all tasks performed.
• Ensure the timely completion of all tasks
• Delivery of goods and materials to the warehouse and end users ensuring conformation that deliveries are completed to the K92 Mining schedules and plans.
• Liaise with representatives from K92 Mining freight forwarders, all freight contractors, and end users. Ensure that co- operative working relationships are maintained.
• Follow the direction of the Senior Logistics Officer when completing tasks.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you are:

• Experience with storage and handling of Dangerous goods
• Licensed to operate relevant machinery relevant to the task.
• Site inducted to operate relevant machinery applicable to the task.
• Behavior consistent with K92 Mining core values
• Problem solving and decision-making capability.
• Written and verbal communication skills to year 10 level.
• Experience communicating with Freight forwarders.
• Ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels of the organization and engage all relevant stakeholders
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industry with relevant experience within shipping and logistics
• Mining Industry experience preferred.
