Job Description
Village Capital, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting diverse, seed-stage, impact-driven startups, is seeking an Curriculum Development Consultant to support with the design and development of the Capital Readiness curriculum for Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) to access through the Resource initiative.
The Role
The Contractor Is Expected To Provide Support To The US Global Ventures Team In The Design And Development Of The Capital Readiness Curriculum Over The Next Two Months In Delivering The Deliverables Listed In The Deliverables Section. The Goals Of This Curriculum Are
- Prepare Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) to facilitate and (potentially) deploy capital, with possibility to participate as an ESO Ventures Partner for Resource Invests.
- Support ESOs in understanding the potential roles and strategies they can take in facilitating capital access, as well as the associated capabilities, costs, and implications of these potential strategies and roles on their organisational decision-making to weigh up cost/benefit of various strategies.
- Support ESOs to position themselves as highly skilled intermediaries with deep local knowledge.
Deliverables: The contractor is expected to provide support in the creation and delivery of the following deliverables:
- Participate in a kickoff meeting with critical team members to align on objectives.
- Review previous research, goals, and any existing resources.
- Collaborate with the Resource Program Manager and Innovation Manager to outline the curriculum structure, modules, and objectives.
- Draft lesson plans, exercises, and resources for initial modules.
- Establish milestones for content creation with the Resource Program Manager.
- Determine key skill improvements and quantifiable progress measures
- Integrate learning checkpoints and feedback surveys
- Finalize drafts of all modules for pilot testing.
- Ensure resources like handouts, visual aids, and instructions are included.
- Coordinate with the Comms team to develop materials with appropriate Resource branding.
- Conduct a team review of the draft curriculum.
- Incorporate feedback and prepare for pilot testing.
- Test the curriculum with a small group of 2-3 participants.
- Collect feedback on content, format, and delivery.
- Incorporate feedback from pilot and finalize all modules and materials
Ideal Profile
The contractor should have experience with program design, curriculum development, and facilitating capital access for entrepreneurs and/or ESOs.
