Job Purpose

The Head of E-Commerce will drive the strategic vision, growth, and execution of Kohler’s e-commerce business across third-party marketplaces, D2C and all new evolving formats including Quick Commerce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership

? Develop and implement a comprehensive eCommerce strategy aligned with Kohler’s business objectives which aims to balance our growth objectives and the legacy and premium positioning that Kohler stands for.

? Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer behavior to maintain a competitive edge.

? Identify growth opportunities across D2C platforms, marketplaces and continuously monitor and evaluate new formats

  • P&L Management

? Own the eCommerce P&L, including sales, marketing budgets, and operational costs.

? Optimize online sales channels with data-driven insights and performance marketing strategies.

? Implement pricing, promotions, and inventory strategies to maximize sales and profitability.

  • Operational Management

? Work with the team to oversee end-to-end online customer journey, including site design, navigation, checkout, and post-purchase experience.

? Ensure site performance, including uptime, load speed, and mobile responsiveness.

? Collaborate with IT and digital teams to drive innovations in website functionality and UX.

? Conduct A/B testing to improve conversion rates and optimize the customer experience.

? Ensure planning and high demand accuracy to ensure optimal inventory levels to complement both direct (B2C) and B2B business channels.

  • Team Leadership

? Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing eCommerce team, including revenue growth, marketing, analytics, UX, and operations professionals.

? Foster cross-functional collaboration with product, marketing, logistics, and customer service teams.

  • Partnerships & Channel Management

? Manage relationships with third-party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Quick Commerce) and authorized sellers including joint business plans, negotiations, new product planning etc to optimize channel performance.

? Ensure Kohler ecommerce business alignment with marketplaces growth strategy and internally work with cross functional teams to build and unlock digital capabilities to support growth.

  • Analytics & Reporting

? Develop KPIs to track eCommerce performance and create regular performance reports for leadership team and regular operational reviews to analyze and execute necessary interventions.

? Use data analytics to enhance decision-making and inform strategies for growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or online sales leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through DTC platforms and third-party marketplaces.
  • Experience of managing both direct and indirect teams and be able to collaborate including with cross-geographic stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing P&L and driving ROI-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with consumer products, luxury goods, or home improvement industries is a plus.
