You will have a record of success as a leader dealing with complex issues. You will have extensive experience across the public, private and/or not-for-profit sectors and you will have a strong background in strategy and engagement and building cultural capability across an organisation. You will have a proven track record as an agent of delivering change in challenging environments, in fostering a confident and capable workforce and in facilitating partnerships and alliances.
Principal Accountabilities
As a Senior Executive leader in Queensland Government, you will display strong leadership and managerial capabilities. The role requires an ability to lead the development and management of financial services specialists to implement and deliver government priorities, effectively support youth justice and victim support service delivery and provide excellence and achieve quality outcomes in client service delivery in the areas of finance, property and procurement services.
You will provide high level strategic and operational advice to the Director-General, the Board of Management and senior executives across a wide variety matters to meet business objectives, including but not limited to the delivery of the program work involved with youth justice initiatives and outsourced service delivery, oversight of victims support programs and administered funds, management accounting, oversight of the annual budget cycle, financial performance reporting, financial risk management and governance together with delivery of property and procurement services.
As a member of Corporate Services Leadership Team, you will demonstrate high level leadership particularly by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. The position will focus on business improvement initiatives to ensure ongoing efficient and effective resource utilisation across the youth justice and victim support portfolios that is consistent with contemporary financial practice. More broadly, you will deliver upon and discharge the statutory obligations of the Financial Accountability Act 2009.
As an executive, your performance will be assessed according to four key accountability perspectives: stakeholder and outcome, internal business, financial, and learning and growth.
