This role will drive key strategic partnerships by developing and fostering strategic relationships between the enterprise and those external partners that align with our mission. The position focuses on driving our partnership strategy, identifying potential partner organizations, evaluating opportunities, managing partner relations, and creating synergies with partners with different functions across the enterprise. To that end, the position collaborates closely with various teams, including Analytics & Data Insights, Government Affairs, Philanthropy, Health Transformation, and Innovation Programs and Services.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Create and execute an enterprise-wide partnership strategy to align with the enterprise’s needs and overall goals.
  • Build, maintain, and evolve our internal structure and partnership processes, including frameworks, methodologies, and tools/templates.
  • Ensure sound partner development practices, approaches, and oversight, including defining goals, objectives, KPIs, value propositions, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Identify and prioritize potential partners based on strategic fit and mission alignment.
  • Monitor partnership performance and metrics, iterating strategies to optimize outcomes.
  • Evaluate our roster of partnerships and determine if they continue to meet the criteria relevant to the organization, including weighting efforts relative to the tiered structure for how the enterprise defines partners.
  • Assess future partnership opportunities based on the enterprise’s needs, goals, and criteria.
  • Lead partnership agreements and collaboration across the organization and with external stakeholders, collaborating with business leaders to successfully execute partnerships from identification through client collaborations.
  • Educate the organization on partnerships, and the respective uplifts and benefits, as well as any notable risk.
  • Act as the single point of contact for our established and/or inquiring partner organizations, coordinating internally as necessary and appropriate.
  • Act as the single point of contact for our internal teams in understanding partnerships, strategizing on fit for proposals, alignment of contacts, etc.
  • Drive the implementation and execution of partnership agreements, ensuring seamless integration and ongoing success.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 12+ years in the client services/partnerships space with a track record of successfully leading partnership initiatives.
  • Experience in healthcare (medical and/or oral) with a strong understanding of the dynamics of the healthcare system.
  • Proven track record of leading partnership efforts with for-profit and non-profit organizations, with an understanding of the practicalities of healthcare partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and manage partnerships and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and maximizing opportunities for strategic partnerships and investments.
  • Experience working within a small team while engaging more broadly across functions in a highly collaborative manner.
  • Experience with strategic planning and ability to align focus to enterprise strategy.
  • Experience building and implementing applicable frameworks, methodologies, tools, and templates.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills across all levels of organizations.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for improving healthcare through innovation.
