Our Client
In this role, you will be assigned to our UK-based client with over 100 years experience in caring for animals. They are a family-owned business, built up on a strong foundation of core values. They started with their vision to make life easier for busy veterinary practices and hospitals.
Your Responsibilities
- Managing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payment and Banking processes.
- Reporting the monthly Management Accounts to the board and shareholders as per timetable together with a full variance analysis and commentary.
- Ensure that all Balance Sheets accounts are reconciled each month.
- Ensure that all company reporting systems are reconciled and aligned each month.
- Manage the annual Budget and regular reforecasting processes.
- Implement best financial practice within Finance and the broader business.
- Undertake accurate and timely project costing.
- Challenge current costs to achieve best value for money.
- Gain a complete understanding of the key processes within the business – i.e. Warehouse, Sales, Customer service etc.
- Manage and support the Accounts Assistant.
- Support the Finance Director and the Board with any reasonable task.
Your Background
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA or ACCA)
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Familiar with BI tools (specifically Power BI)
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Good teamwork and leadership skills with excellent communication
- Experience of a trading business
- Experience of a high-growth and ambitious business would be an advantage
