Key Responsibilities

  • HR Support and Operations: Provide HR support to 25+ schools and school leaders, focusing on employee relations, performance management, and regulatory compliance. Address day-to-day HR operations, including guidance on hiring, onboarding, and conflict resolution to ensure smooth school operations.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Collaborate with the Office of Catholic Schools to develop and implement HR policies that align with Archdiocesan standards. Refine best practices for school employees, focusing on contracts, workplace culture, and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership Coaching and Development: Coach school leaders on HR best practices, team management, and creating positive work environments. Provide guidance and tools to school leaders and staff for effective personnel management and smooth operations.
  • Team Collaboration and Support: Provide support to the HR Generalist on the Schools Mission Support Center team by assisting with projects and offering subject-matter expertise. Collaborate with the Recruiter for Schools position to develop and refine recruiting strategies and processes for attracting top talent to Catholic schools.

What We’re Looking For

  • A practicing Catholic who aligns with the Church’s mission and values.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of HR experience with increasing responsibilities, including experience with executive-level leadership.
  • Experience working in schools or within a school district a plus
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or equivalent required; Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Service-oriented with a ministry focus, providing meaningful support to schools. Strong team player with leadership skills to build trust, navigate conflict, and promote policy and culture compliance.
  • Polished communicator with excellent written, verbal, and investigative skills. Extensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, ensuring objectivity and confidentiality.
  • Creative, analytical, and results-driven with strong business judgment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and accounting software.
  • Strong time management skills, able to work efficiently in dynamic environments. Previous experience in educational settings preferred.
