Job Description

This position provides administration and oversight of scholarship and incentive programs provided by the agency for nursing students in Oklahoma nursing programs from LPN up to PhD levels. Applications without a resume included will not be accepted.

Duties Include

  • Provides information and guidance in the application process for the nursing scholarship program offered through the agency.
  • Interprets and advises nursing students, training program personnel, hospital and clinic groups and communities on the rules and components of the agency programs available.
  • Prepares and updates informational materials and website information.
  • Prepares handouts, and any information needed for meetings and presentations; attends conferences as required; represents the agency at meetings, seminars, and conferences. *Some travel may be required.
  • Assists in preparing budget projections for the program that reflects current and future fiscal year needs. Assists in planning for funding needs for renewing current participant contracts and projected new approved applicants in coordination with the Nursing Programs Director.
  • Prepares, distributes and monitors return of onboarding documents including contracts.
  • Works with the Program Director to update all program documents including contracts.
  • Assists in the administration of assigned programs, including requesting recipient payments, invoicing sponsors, recording, and maintaining the data records for each participant and program. Monitoring participants in obligated practice and maintaining current and accurate records of their obligated requirements for the program. Notifies the Program Director of anticipated breaks in contract obligations.
  • Communicates with recruiters, directors, and CEOs to review and update information regarding sponsored recipients and recipients fulfilling their obligation at their facility.
  • Provides additional administrative duties as needed and assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of the methods of organization and management; agency policies and procedures; contract and program requirements; and the statutory requirements of the programs administered by the agency. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions; and to organize and present facts and opinions. Microsoft Office 365 Suite proficiency is required. SmartSheet experience is a plus.

Education And Experience

Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree and one year of professional or technical administrative* experience in business or public administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education. *Technical administrative experience would include highly complex clerical work gained under the direct supervision of a professional supervisor or manager.

Salary

Starting salary range: $34,500 to $45,500
