SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Finance Manager
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- – Manage and oversee the entire inventory management process for the factory, ensuring optimal stock levels, inventory control, and material flow
- – Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain efficient and cost-effective inventory operations
- – Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to forecast, plan, and manage inventory levels based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and lead times
- – Monitor and analyze inventory data, including stock levels, usage patterns, turnover rates, and stock discrepancies, to identify areas for improvement
- – Establish and maintain effective inventory control systems, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and perpetual inventory management
- – Optimize inventory storage and handling procedures, including warehouse layout, material handling equipment, and inventory storage methods
- – Manage and coordinate the receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure timely delivery and minimize operational disruptions
- – Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring the integrity and reliability of inventory data
- – Identify and implement process improvements, technologies, and systems to enhance inventory visibility, accuracy, and efficiency
- – Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of inventory management, and take corrective actions as needed
- – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory management strategies with production, sales, and financial objectives
- – Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies related to inventory management
- – Provide training and guidance to inventory control personnel on best practices, systems, and procedures
- – Prepare and present inventory performance reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations
Qualifications
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- – Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
- – Professional certification in inventory management, such as APICS CPIM or CLTD, is preferred
- – Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage
Experience
- – Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- – Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive inventory management strategies and best practices
- – Proficient in the use of inventory management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools
- – Thorough understanding of inventory control techniques, such as ABC analysis, just-in-time (JIT) inventory, and lean manufacturing principles

- – Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and techniques to drive inventory optimization
