As an EIT for Water Resources, you will have the opportunity to be involved in large, multi-discipline projects that allow the development of a diverse engineering skill set.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Perform a variety of hydrology and hydraulic design work for Municipal, County and District projects (i.e., waterlines, sewer lines, pump stations, tanks, wells, storm drains, flood control, etc.)
- Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of water resource projects
- Work within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
- Take ownership of project tasks from start to finish
Qualifications, Skills, And Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 0-4+ years of experience in civil design is preferred. Entry-level candidates will be considered
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
- Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client’s overall project goal
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, Water/Stormwater/Wastewater Modeling softwares and other applicable software common to the field of Water Resources engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
