Strategy and Operations plays a key role in Commercial and Procurement Services, ensuring that the function achieves its objectives and providing a range of support and analyses for procurement categories.

About The Role

In this job you’ll work within the Strategy and Operations team within Commercial and Procurement Services, managing discrete projects within the Strategy and Operations team in C&PS. You will deliver effective management of individual projects, co-ordinating between procurement projects and manage dependencies with wider UCL activities. You will be working with colleagues in other professional services functions, too, including HR and ISD. You will also manage the IT-enabled platforms that support C&PS’ work, including our E-Marketplace and contracts management system. You will play a key role in developing integrated reporting for use by management from these and other tools.

We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.

About You

To do this job you’ll need to be commercially astute and collaborative in your approach, and comfortable in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have a recognised project/programme management qualification or be able to evidence this through your experience. You will have a commercial or procurement background and have a strong track record of delivery and demonstrating impact through delivering projects on time and on budget. You will be used to providing regular, focused, data-driven progress reports to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders. You will be IT-literate, and ideally you will have experience of delivering technology-enabled projects using Agile approaches.
