Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients based on their individual needs and treatment plans.
- Monitor and document patients’ health conditions and progress.
- Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist patients with daily activities, such as mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Assessment & Monitoring:
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
- Record vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Recognize and respond to any changes in patient conditions, escalating issues as necessary.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and information to patients and their families.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and medication regimens.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Participate in ward rounds, team meetings, and case discussions.
- Infection Control & Safety:
- Follow hygiene and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Handle medical equipment and supplies properly to prevent errors or contamination.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.
