Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Deliver direct nursing care to patients based on their individual needs and treatment plans.
    • Monitor and document patients’ health conditions and progress.
    • Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
    • Assist patients with daily activities, such as mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.
  • Assessment & Monitoring:
    • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
    • Record vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
    • Recognize and respond to any changes in patient conditions, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
    • Provide emotional support and information to patients and their families.
    • Educate patients on post-treatment care and medication regimens.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
    • Participate in ward rounds, team meetings, and case discussions.
  • Infection Control & Safety:
    • Follow hygiene and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
    • Handle medical equipment and supplies properly to prevent errors or contamination.
    • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.
