About The Position

  • Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Stepdown Cardiac **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night, 3×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30); Every other weekend **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required **License:** Active VA or Compact License required at submission **Certifications:** BLS and ACLS **Must-Have:** Strong cardiac tele/stepdown experience, management of chest tubes and dysrhythmias, experience with cardiovascular stepdown (CVSD) patients and telemetry **Job Description:** – Manage and care for cardiac surgery patients transitioned from ICU – Provide expert nursing skills in a stepdown cardiac unit, focusing on telemetry – Oversight and management of chest tubes, with keen ability to detect and respond to dysrhythmias – Ensure high standards of patient care in accordance with facility policies and standards – Participate in orientation and complete necessary training modules – Comply with requirements for COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations, with only medical or religious exemptions allowed – Attend an EPIC class for clinical documentation; the specific class depends on previous EPIC experience – Expect to work select holidays and keep requested time off (RTO) to a minimum – May float to different areas, maintaining rotation with client staff **Note:** This opportunity is ideal for nurses with previous cardiovascular telemetry and stepdown experience. Candidates need a strong background in managing critical cardiac interventions, ensuring patient stability and recovery. All licensure and certification requirements must be met at the time of application.
