Position Summary

The Safety Officer shall act as an interface between HO & project site. He will drive; implement organizational QHSE Policy & procedure across the project site. The roles shall also include the continuous monitoring, implementing best HSE practices & reporting to the management.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Occupational safety
    • Ensure implementation of Serentica HSE Plan & Policy.
    • Develop a culture to anticipate and prevent health hazardous conditions.
    • Identify hazards for all High Risks Activities, assess the risks and define control measures with site management team.
    • Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to make sure they meet safety requirements.
    • Implement, maintain & approve contractors HSE document as per ISO 45001 requirements.
    • Support section manager, site engineer & supervisor to communicate risk assessments and method statements down to the workers level.
    • Continuously monitor High Risks Activities and implementation of safety control measures.
    • Define and organize entry of personnel, vehicles, tools & tackles, and machineries by thorough scrutinization of their documents and necessary PTW.
    • Carry out HSE inspections and advise site management for improvement of safety health and environment.
    • Facilitate HSE internal & external audit and assist HSE head in compliance of the non-conformity raises.

Industries account for over 30 PERCENT of total carbon emissions. In the medium-term, Serentica aims to install 5000MW of carbon-free generation capacity coupled with different storage technologies. Eventually, it aims to supply over 15 billion units of clean energy annually and displace 20 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.
