Position Summary

The Director will oversee the FinTech Client Relationship Management (inside sales) and The Traction Team at our Sioux Falls, SD location. The role is responsible for providing leadership while managing and implementing profitable fintech business partnerships to Sunrise Banks within appropriate risk levels. A primary function is to ensure there is no attrition in our revenue base; in addition, this role is responsible for generating revenue, driving growth and retention strategies while maintaining high standards of performance and integrity. The incumbent will promote department-wide comprehension of FinTech and Risk management strategies along with internal governance adherence.

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership in defining and executing the Bank’s strategy for engaging with Fintechs, while adhering to the direction set by the Chief Fintech Strategy Officer, Chief Fintech Officer, and applicable Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Responsible for providing leadership to support short and long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies for direct reports.
  • Co-creates with leadership and strategy officers to ensure operational scalability and viability of opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison and escalation point between the Bank and the Client to facilitate issue resolution and promote client growth.
  • Articulate client needs/trends to facilitate new product creation and value propositions.
  • Develop a system to gauge client sentiment and deploy a multi-level client engagement strategy.
  • Develop upsell and cross-sell strategies to enhance revenue per Partner.
  • Ensure effective communication with our partnerships to set clear expectations and promote effective change management.
  • Conduct regular client reviews and develop action plans to remediate findings, optimize revenue, or otherwise grow the partnership.
  • Define and oversee CRM activities and competencies to maximize retention, up-sell and cross-sell.
  • Oversee and sponsor internal projects and implementation initiatives.
  • Ensure that an efficient, transparent implementation process is communicated to clients and followed by all.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of all department reports ahead of publication and presentations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversees the FinTech Business Development and Traction Team staff.
  • Responsible for the hiring, development, and performance management of department leaders and team members.
  • Provide opportunities for team members to advance in their professional capacity.

Education & Experience

  • College degree in business related field and MBA (or equivalent advanced degree) preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the financial industry required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the B2B2C Sales.
  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Outstanding customer and partner facing communication skills.
  • Substantial experience in technology and software.
  • Demonstrate strong people skills
  • Substantial Project Management experience and skills

Compensation And Benefits

For this position, the expected starting annualized salary range is between: $99,366 – $141,951 depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for a Discretionary Bonus of up to 15% of annual earnings based on organizational goals.
