Position Summary

This position is an integral part of the Pharma team and plays a critical role in customer satisfaction. Requires person to work effectively with multiple sales personnel and relies on his/her experience and judgment to accomplish agreed company goals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing purchase orders and sales orders, relaying pertinent order information to customers, sales, and traffic/logistics.
  • Taking responsibility to provide excellent customer service, including following up on all purchase orders, tracking sales orders & sample tracking.
  • Taking ownership to ensure outstanding customer experience/satisfaction and provide professional customer support by prompt handling of customer questions and concerns.
  • Providing verification for pricing, inventory, terms and conditions, and special requirement as applicable.
  • Preparing Letters of Credit, Shipping exception forms, credit memos, and other forms as necessary
  • Being able to run a variety of reports out of Sage ERP system (training provided).
  • Learning new software applications as job functions require.

The salary range for the position of Customer Service Representative is $45,000 – $60,000 per year. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity and other factors as permitted by law.

It is preferred that the candidate be local to the Port Washington, NY office for in-person collaboration with the team.

Required Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Customer Service.
  • High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to PowerPoint; Excel; Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven record of working across functional teams, inside & outside sales/traffic/logistics
  • Maintaining a positive empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times.

Physical Demand
