Job Purpose
The Operations Manager plays a vital role in overseeing multiple French Truck Coffee retail locations, ensuring they run smoothly and successfully. This includes focusing on safety, quality, and ongoing improvement while supporting Cafe Managers to excel in operations like staffing, compliance, inventory control, scheduling, and maintaining financial health. Beyond operations, the Operations Manager fosters a welcoming, organized, and customer-first environment while nurturing positive relationships with employees, vendors, and partners. This position requires frequent travel between assigned retail locations to provide hands-on support and ensure operational excellence.
Essential Job Functions
- Support and Partner: Work closely with the Director of Operations to use data insights for smart, impactful decision-making.
- Oversee Budgets and Performance: Monitor inventory, schedules, purchases, and expenses to ensure stores stay within budget while hitting performance goals.
- Set and Uphold Standards: Develop and enforce safety, quality, and productivity benchmarks for all Team Members.
- Ensure Compliance: Conduct regular site visits to confirm stores meet all company policies and standards.
- Strengthen Partnerships: Build positive, professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other partners critical to French Truck Coffee’s success.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain open lines of communication with Store and Café Managers, ensuring they’re up-to-date on product orders and vendor information.
- Travel with Purpose: Visit assigned retail locations consistently to provide guidance and support where it’s needed most.
Supervisory Job Functions
- Facilitate Growth: Lead weekly meetings with store management teams and have regular one-on-one check-ins with Store Managers to stay aligned and connected.
- Share Best Practices: Collaborate with other Operations Managers to continuously improve processes and operations company-wide.
- Set Goals Together: Work with your team to establish goals that align with French Truck Coffee’s vision and business needs.
- Communicate Expectations Clearly: Make sure store teams understand their goals and responsibilities and keep the lines of communication open.
- Provide Support and Feedback: Offer fair, constructive, and timely coaching to help managers and team members meet their potential.
- Maintain Cost Control: Ensure managers are effectively balancing labor, sales, and supply costs.
- Invest in Your Team: Provide coaching and guidance while conducting performance evaluations in alignment with company policies.
- Take Initiative: Jump in to help with special projects or other tasks as they arise.

Requirements
- At least five (5) years of management experience in the food and beverage industry required
- Multi unit experience preferred
