UNV Technical Officer – Women’s Health Unit (WHO – EMRO)
The World Health Organization (WHO) seeks a UN Volunteer Technical Officer to support the Women’s Health Unit in its Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO). This role focuses on promoting women’s health and well-being through advocacy, capacity-building, and program initiatives across 22 Member States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare background documents and support events, including World Health Day, International Women’s Day, and the Regional Meeting for Every Woman, Every Newborn, Everywhere (EWENE).
- Assist with regional initiatives such as the Women’s Cancers Initiative and Women’s Mental Health Regional Collaborative.
- Support the rollout and evaluation of women’s health programs.
Requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree in Medical Sciences or Public Health.
- Experience: 3+ years in maternal and child health, gender-related health, or public health program design and evaluation.
- Languages: Fluent in Arabic and English.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Entitlements:
UN National Specialist Volunteer gets the following package:
- Volunteer Living Allowance (around EGP 63,400/Month).
- Entry Lump-Sum = USD 400(one-time payment).
