As a Project Manager within a leading utility company, you will oversee electric infrastructure projects, engaging collaboratively with customers and internal teams. This role is pivotal as the demand for transmission projects is set to escalate, requiring meticulous management due to heightened scrutiny from regulators and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects and programs, including the relocation of existing facilities and minor civil projects.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost trends.
  • Handle 5-10 active projects while coordinating contractors and materials.
  • Facilitate the organization of resources, equipment, and information essential for project completion, ensuring effective communication within the project team.
  • Lead the planning, monitoring, and execution of complex multi-year initiatives across various departments, including Finance, Regulatory Affairs, HR, Engineering, and Customer Support.
  • Ensure timely updates to project documentation across multiple software platforms while maintaining organized data files.
  • Initiate project documentation, including Authorization to Proceed (ATP), contracts, and letters as required.
  • Develop and maintain project, resource, and staffing plans, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment with project goals regarding quality, schedule, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor performance and recommend necessary adjustments to schedules, costs, or resources.
  • Review project files for completeness and adherence to established processes.
  • Organize and lead both internal and external meetings with established agendas and action items.
  • Navigate regulatory and legal matters associated with projects.

Required Skills

  • Strong project management capabilities with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SAP, and project documentation tools.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • A minimum of seven to ten years of Project Management experience with direct accountability for project scope, cost, and schedule.
