Job Description
Position Summary
The Employee Health Nurse Manager plays a key role in ensuring our employees meet preventive health standards, receive proper care for workplace injuries or illnesses, and comply with all regulatory requirements. This role collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer, Quality Assurance Risk Manager, and Human Resources to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees while maintaining accurate records and developing impactful programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with employee preventive health requirements, including vaccinations and TB clearance.
- Manage bloodborne pathogen exposures, injuries, and infectious disease cases while acting as a liaison for employees.
- Oversee infectious disease tracking and collaborate with public health departments for compliance.
- Develop and coordinate programs such as the annual flu vaccination and respirator fit testing.
- Conduct Quality Assurance Reviews for employee exposures and injuries to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training on infection control measures and injury prevention.
- Maintain accurate employee health records and analyze data for quality initiatives.
- Supervise and develop the Employee Health Administrative Assistant.
Location: Remote (Must reside in a state where NextCare Holdings has a physical presence)
- North Carolina, Virginia, Arizona, Missouri, Michigan, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Oklahoma, or Kansas.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN).
- Active RN licensure in a state where NextCare operates.
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
- 5+ years of employee health-specific experience.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in employee health, occupational health, or a clinical environment such as urgent care or emergency care.
