Director of FInancial Planning and Analysis

Job Description

The Dupuy Group is currently looking to hire a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for their New Orleans, LA office.

What You Will Be Working On

The Director Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for overseeing the organization’s business planning, forecasting, budgeting, business analysis and support. The key roles will include financial forecasting, trend analysis, financial modeling, reporting and business performance by supporting management and departmental leaders with data-driven analysis.

  • Support, streamline and improve the business planning and budgeting process
  • Perform market analyses as needed to insure proper monitoring of business and commodity trends
  • Lead the weekly financial forecasting calls and variance analyses; report the company’s projected monthly performance to senior management; own and create the monthly financial management report and be prepared to explain revenue and/or operating cost variances
  • Consolidate weekly performance forecasts/reports to include commodity in storage at the company’s respective warehouses, warehouse utilization and projected EBITDA by location
  • Create and own the long-term corporate financial model, including forecasted P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Perform ad hoc operational and financial analysis to assist senior leadership in making the best operational decisions
  • Provide guidance and support to regional GM’s and/or Directors of Operations, ensuring financial tools are utilized and internal controls and accounting processes are understood and followed
  • Develop and standardize working capital and cash generation analyses for senior management; evaluate whether the Company’s current assets and investments are the best use of working capital by analyzing return on investment and other cash flow metrics

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field
  • 7 years of financial analysis or accounting experience in a large multi-national organization
  • 5 years of experience leading an FP&A team
  • Excellent financial modelling skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience developing KPI’s and communicating progress against targets
  • Masterful at variance analyses and recommending ways to improve EBITDA
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and responsiveness by example
  • Team player with the success of the organization and team always in mind
  • Self-starter that focuses on delivering results with little oversight
