What will you do as a Financial Controller?

• Supervise and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Develop and execute the monthly closing process.
• Analyze movements in key balance sheet accounts and reconcile balances.
• Prepare and present Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and diagnostics for the destination under your responsibility.
• Propose and implement process improvements for month-end closings, focusing on automation and creating more efficient models.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems.
• Analyze and report budget variances, providing recommendations to improve financial efficiency.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting and tax regulations.
• Participate in financial planning and long-term strategy development.

What do we expect from you?

Must-haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the tourism sector.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international accounting and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• English proficiency.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in financial management and accounting software (Great Plains / SAP desirable).
