What we’re looking for:

The CFO is responsible for the overall financial management of the companies that are outsourcing fractional CFOs to our accounting firm. This includes overseeing the accounting department, developing and implementing financial strategies, and managing risk. The CFO also plays a crucial role in strategic planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting department and ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
• Develop and implement financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Manage risk and ensure that the company is financially sound
• Play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making
• Work with the Owner of CPA firm to develop and implement the company’s overall strategy
• Oversee the company’s financial reporting and ensure that it complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• Create Draw schedules for Development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
• 10+ years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the real estate or construction industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Real Estate and Construction Emphasis

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the real estate and construction industry. This experience should include knowledge of the following:

• Real estate finance, including construction loans, mortgages, and equity financing
• Construction accounting, including project cost accounting and job costing
• Real estate development, including land acquisition, permitting, and construction management
• Real estate investment analysis, including property valuation and cash flow analysis
