Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Job Description

The Amstel Hotel, a prestigious 5-star luxury property in the heart of Amsterdam, is seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to contribute to the hotel’s marketing and public relations efforts. You’ll support the Marketing Manager in executing a variety of initiatives to uphold and enhance the hotel’s iconic brand image. You will be part of and work closely with the hotel’s commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation Management

  • Draft engaging content for newsletters, social media platforms, website updates, and promotional materials while maintaining the hotel’s brand identity.
  • Manage social media accounts, including scheduling content, engaging with the community, and tracking performance.

Influencer Press Stays

  • Coordinate and welcome influencers and media guests, ensuring all arrangements, including amenities and room setup, meet the hotel’s high standards.
  • Liaise with the operations team to provide a seamless experience and follow up after stays to gather feedback and coverage.

Collateral Management

  • Assist in the creation and updating of marketing materials, such as menus, brochures, and promotional items, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s luxury image.

Marketing Calendar Execution

  • Support the execution of planned campaigns, promotions, and events, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to the highest standard.

Hotel Event Support

  • Help conceptualize and execute creative hotel events that reflect the brand’s luxury ethos.
  • Attend events to capture social media content, ensuring engaging promotion across all platforms.

Photo Video Shoot Coordination

  • Coordinate photoshoots and video shoots alongside the Marketing Manager, ensuring assets align with brand standards and requirements.

Analytics Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain the marketing calendar and coordinate timelines with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the marketing inbox, ensuring all inquiries, requests, and opportunities are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, PR, or related fields, preferably in the hospitality or luxury sector.
  • A bachelor degree in hospitality, media communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of or interest in digital marketing trends and tools.
  • Knowledge of the local Amsterdam/ Dutch hospitality market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (META (Instagram Facebook), LinkedIn) and content management tools.
  • Fluency in English Dutch (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign is a plus; if not, a strong willingness to learn (training will be provided by the Marketing Manager).
