We are looking for a passionate and energetic Manager, People & Culture, to join our dynamic team at Corus Orthodontists.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, People & Culture, you will provide HR leadership and support to enable success across our network of orthodontic clinics. You will support the full range of People & Culture activities including leadership coaching, employee relations, talent and performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, strategic workforce planning and compliance. You will provide strategic advice grounded in analysis and insight to support the development of people processes and tools and foster high-performing and engaged teams.

About the role – key responsibilities:
- Provide People & Culture support as a strategic business partner working with our network of practices to drive the success of our people and network, drawing from best practices and organizational context, while being aligned with the laws, regulations and Corus values
- Provide consultation and coaching on issues related to talent development, performance management, organizational design and development, compensation, employee relations, conflict resolution, and legal and procedural compliance
- Lead through our annual people cycles including engagement, performance management, compensation and workforce planning
- Maintain relevancy and compliance of people policies, toolkits, and other HR documentation
- Facilitate team development sessions and workshops to drive team engagement, enhance collaboration and overall team effectiveness
- Collaborate with your client group to identify talent management strategies that drive strong organizational structure, proactive resource planning and development and retention of people
- Provide change management support and high-touch communications regarding new employee programs and changes to employee programs and benefits
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support the HR Merger & Acquisition (M&A) process and provide HR consulting through due diligence, onboarding, and integration for new practices
- Drive team success by proactively using people data to guide leaders, identify trends, solve challenges and recommend effective HR strategies
- Support with ad hoc HR projects and strategic initiatives to enable performance and engagement

Qualifications you bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field; or combination of education and relevant experience
- Five or more years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, including team development, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, etc.
- Strong business acumen, and can use insights to improve talent and business outcomes
- The ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced, start-up environment and comfortable creating new systems and procedures with limited resources and need for speed to implementation
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to gain buy in across the organization
- Customer-focused mindset, understanding how to set the agenda, and how to take others with them in a collaborative way
- HRIS systems experience and knowledge an asset
- Experience supporting multi-state locations, including California, required
Where you will be working/other important information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position that can be completed remotely from California, Washington, or Oregon
- Some travel, 15% (Canada/US), is expected to maintain relationships with local practices, facilitate training, support with specific improvement initiatives and attending People & Culture in-person team meetings; a valid passport is required
