Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher to design and implement educational programs tailored for Early Childhood students.
- Facilitate student engagement through the Responsive Classroom model, guiding children in their social interactions to create a nurturing atmosphere.
- Plan and sustain a supportive classroom environment where children can learn, interact positively, and engage meaningfully with one another.
- Oversee instructional activities and evaluations, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
- Engage in reflective practices concerning lesson plans, activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Assist in classroom management and provide supervision during various activities.
- Participate actively in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching methodologies.
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators to foster a collaborative community.
- Support the school’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and multicultural education.
Required Skills
- Passion for working with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs.
- Capacity to lead classroom activities for groups of varying sizes, including whole groups, small groups, and individual students.
- Strong empathy, flexibility, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with technology, including iPad applications, Google Suite, and other digital tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- A commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience working with young children is preferred.
