Job Role:
The Director of Information Technology (IT) Services will provide strategic leadership and oversight for SOFL’s technology infrastructure, systems and digital operations. The role will be responsible for advancing technology solutions while managing, maintaining, and implementing all current applications and systems. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of IT Services will work closely with the executive team to ensure that technology solutions meet the evolving needs of the organization and aligns with its goals and mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field–required
- 5+ year’s IT experience and management
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management
- Experience in a non-profit or with mission-driven organizations highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive computer experience
- Word processing and database management required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks and projects including the handling of routine administrative paperwork, phone calls, and filing systems
- Regular attendance required
Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and recommend advanced technologies to improve operational efficiency
- Lead the adoption of new tools, systems, and software that align with the organization’s strategic goals
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute a long-term technology roadmap. Ensure that technological innovations support organizational growth, enhance performance, and meet business objectives.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies with existing systems to ensure seamless functionality across all departments.
- Continuously monitor and refine technological processes to enhance speed, security, and usability
- Lead the digital transformation efforts, ensuring the effective adoption of digital tools and platforms across the organization. Facilitate change management and training to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption.
- Manage IT systems including maintenance of all servers, network administration, computer support, data integrity and confidentiality
- Proven expertise in IT management, data security, cloud services, and networking
- Facilitate IT security audits or investigations
- Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
- Inventory, maintain, and track all IT and communications equipment. Purchase, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop computers to users
- Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergencies or data loss
- Manage IT budget and maintain cost-effectiveness
- Perform Administrative responsibilities for applications: Smartsheet, Concur, PayCor/Paychex, Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge, RE NXT, FE NXT, Luminate, Zoom, MS Office, Windows, NetExtender.
- Perform application training for new employees and develop a curriculum for hardware and software training statewide
- Advise all field offices regarding IT hardware, software, and networks
- First line of support for all IT-related problems (equipment and application-based)
- Other duties as assigned
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
