Job Description

Summary: Assumes responsibility for management of new product requests and additions to the item manager. Formulates and interprets the information to identify products which will improve the safety, quality outcomes, and financial performance of Parkview Health and Supply Chain operations. Recommends viable actionable projects for supply standardization and utilization initiatives to supply chain leadership. Collaborates with recall and backorder processes. Collaborates with Demand Planners to maintain an uninterrupted flow of products. Collaborates with other Supply Chain co-workers and customers to integrate alignment processes resulting in improved execution and customer experience and organizational capabilities.

Education: Must obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three years of employment or will not be eligible to continue in the role. Coursework is completed outside of work hours. Nurses with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), hired/rehired or transferred from a non-nursing position prior to 12/1/17 are grandfathered into the role and not required to obtain BSN.

Licensure/Certification: Must have a current RN licensure from the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Prefer project management certification or training.

Experience: Requires five years in an active clinical nursing position. Leadership/management role preferred. Additional experience in supply chain and/or department budgets preferred. Must be able to demonstrate skills in data analysis and critical thinking. Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation), teamwork, and customer service behaviors. Demonstrates, through experience or education, significant skills and knowledge regarding computer applications, specifically MSO (Word, Excel and, PowerPoint). Access Database knowledge a plus. Must have access to a vehicle for driving to off-site locations.
