We are searching for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our BI & A team in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About The Opportunity

  • Transforms raw data into meaningful information for the organization.
  • Determines the best way to integrate various data sources and information to maximize analytical output, including the use of SQL for querying and transforming data.
  • Develops and enhances reports and dashboards for use by decision makers.
  • Translates business challenges into effective business solutions using advanced analytics, visualization tools and strategic thinking.
  • Mines data to identify root causes for resident and site outcomes to enable actionable insights and improved decision-making.
  • Utilizes analytics to develop predictive insights for the business development and growth opportunities.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years experience in an analytical role including experience creating dashboards, reporting solutions, and data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and transformation. Experience with Power BI for visualization.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Collaborative team approach with problem-solving and decision making skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong continuous learning mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality services and care.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst or SQL Certifications are an asset.
