Position:

We are looking for a Mental Health Safeguarding and Safety Lead to develop, implement, oversee and report on safeguarding practices and patient safety initiatives across IPRS Health Mental Health Service.

As Mental Health Safeguarding and Safety Lead for IPRS Health you will be responsible for developing, implementing, overseeing and reporting on safeguarding practices and patient safety initiatives across IPRS Health Mental Health Service. This includes ensuring the wellbeing and protection of children, young people, and adult patients receiving therapy services. The role involves managing all risks related to harm to self, to others, and from others, supporting all staff in contact with patients and fostering a culture of openness, candour, learning and continuous improvement in safeguarding awareness and patient safety. The role spans across in-house therapy delivery and the network of associate professionals, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks.

To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following:

Qualifications:

Mental Health Core Profession with specialist safeguarding qualification or equivalent experience. You are also required to be a Qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with full first audit BABCP accreditation.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will be a proven safeguarding leader with experience of overseeing the identification, management, and mitigation of risks related to harm to self and others across the organisation. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all patients receiving therapy services, including children and young people. Conduct case reviews for high-risk situations, ensuring appropriate interventions and support are provided. Promote a learning and continuous improvement culture by analysing incidents and ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into company policy and practice.

Other information:

Salary: £51,000 – £57,000 per annum

Hours; 40 hours per week Mon-Fri

Location: Remote working
